How can I prevent tooth decay and gum disease?

Good oral hygiene starts at home, though it needs to be supplemented by regular visits to our Comfort Dental.There are important steps you can take to prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Brush at least twice a day using a soft bristled toothbrush and an ADA-accepted fluoride toothpaste. Be sure to replace your toothbrush every couple ofmonths. Flossing is also vital to the health of your teeth and gums and the prevention of gum disease.

Does fluoride help prevent tooth decay?

Yes, fluoride will strengthen your teeth, offering them protection against tooth decay.

What causes sensitive teeth?

Sensitive teeth are caused by a wide range of factors. The porous part of the tooth, is the section that registers pain. Dentin can become exposed by fractured or chipped teeth or by teeth injured by clenching or grinding.
